Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show: What you need to know

A weekend of entertainment, food and, most importantly, lots and lots of boats.

‘Pre-owned’ isn’t a word that crops up regularly in EDGAR, as we’d usually associate it with things that are cheap, old and generally have seen better days.

However, with some of the more luxurious yachts at the Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show valued at a jaw-dropping AED 25 million, our lazy assumptions have been thrown well and truly out of the window.

Taking place on the fifth, sixth and seventh of November at Dubai Creek Marina, the show is set to bring boat enthusiasts, owners and families together for a one-of-a-kind celebration of all things boating.

Established in 2010, the event attracts buyers and sellers from all over the GCC, giving you the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most luxurious pre-owned boats in the region.

“The Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show is free to attend and there is something for everyone to enjoy, from boat fans looking to buy or rent a vessel, to families looking for a fun activity.” says Abdullah Ali Al Noon, Marina Operations Manager for Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.

With last year’s event attracting more than 8,000 attendees and pulling in some AED 11 million in sales, it is a tough act to follow. However, with this year’s event showcasing an impressive array of boats – from basic to ultra luxury and varying from AED 30,000 to AED 25 million – it promises to be the biggest and best yet.

As well as the spectacle of the boats, there’ll be plenty in the way of entertainment throughout the weekend, with water-based activities, such as stand-up paddleboard races and a dragon boat race courtesy of Adventure HQ, as well as a dedicated kids’ corner with a giant inflatable slide and trampolines to keep the little ones occupied. Plus, there’ll be a live barbecue station and lots of other dining options from the food trucks at the F&B village.

So head down to Dubai Creek Marina for a fun-filled boating bonanza, and whatever you do, don’t forget your cheque book.
