There are some brands that have such appeal that even the slightest clearing of their throat will make us sit up and take an interest.

One such brand is Riva, and the legendary Italian boat maker has not so much as cleared its throat, but entered the room backed by a full marching band, with the news that it will soon be launching its latest sportster, the Riva 76’ Coupé.

Scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, the sleek 22-metre yacht is a long, sweeping craft with supercar-grade looks and the speed to back it up. Two V-drive MAN V12 1,550MHP engines power the boat and generate an impressive maximum speed of 33 knots.

Designed by Riva’s co-founder Mauro Michelo, the new 76’ preserves the recognisable silhouette of its Ego Super, Domino and 122’ Mythos family members, and includes everything you need from a top deck, including sunpads, sofas, a main deck dinning table for eight, three private cabins and a master bedroom.
