Jaguar has a history of using the backdrop of a global city to launch a new car. Remember when it flew the XE over London by helicopter?

Well now it needs to launch the F-PACE in the Middle East, so naturally it’s chosen Dubai.

Using the Burj Khalifa as its backdrop, Jaguar plans to use an LED light animation on the world’s tallest building to herald the arrival of the F-PACE in the region on May 2.

Not only that, the British carmaker will stream the event live on its YouTube channel, which we’ve embedded below for you. The stream will go live at 7pm UAE time.

Jaguar’s first SUV, the F-PACE will use a 3-litre supercharged V6 engine, capable of sending the car from 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds.
