The finalists of the 2014 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition are absolutely stunning.

When we showed you the winners of the National Geographic 2014 Traveller Photo Contest a few weeks ago, we didn't think it could get any better. But after seeing the stunning entries in this year's Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition presented by London's Natural History Museum and the BBC, we might have to change our opinion!

There were more than 41,000 entries into the competition, and the winner will be announced on October 21. Here are some of the this year's best snaps:
