A Very French Affair At The Ivy

When a quality set menu just isn’t enough, what you need is classic French opera numbers…bonjour The Ivy.

As celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck recently told EDGAR, a good meal is about more than just the food. It is about the setting, the atmosphere and the company.

We should probably tell him then about an opera night at The Ivy next week, as the restaurant plans to host a French musical soiree.

The Emirates Towers restaurant has partnered with Emirates Opera Project - a group of local, classically trained singers - to hold the evening as an appeal to foodies with a penchant for classic musical numbers. It will be the venue's second such night after holding a sellout Italian opera evening in April.

Guests can expect to be treated to a number of classic French numbers while enjoying a menu including chicken liver parfait, tuna tartare, short rib bourgogne, crème brûlée and apple and raspberry tarte tatin. Providing Umbrellas of Cherbourg is on the setlist then we'll see you there.
