Is this the coolest dining experience ever?

Sublimotion in Ibiza’s Hard Rock Hotel is a stunning cross between molecular gastronomy and ultra-modern technology.

Here at EDGAR we've always been fans of a dinner show, but we can't say we've ever come across a situation where the dinner IS the show, until now.

The Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza is home to perhaps the most bizarre yet alluring restaurant we've ever seen: Sublimotion. The 12-seater venue serves up the best of avant-garde Spanish cuisine, but makes sure that each of the 20 dishes on its mammoth tasting set menu has an element of magic and mystery.

Priced at €1,500 - AED 7,420 - per person, guests are invited to try all manner of weird and wonderful morsels during the three-hour experience, including levitating macaroons, nitrogen-frozen olive oil parcels and foie gras doughnuts.

But the unusual food is only half of the experience, as diners witness an audiovisual treat over dinner, making use of state-of-the-art technology to create a host of spectacular scenes.

If this Willy Wonka-esque experience - created by Paco Roncero - is your kind of thing then you'd better get your skates on, because the restaurant closes for the winter on September 30.
