EDGAR partners with Catch Dubai for The Gentleman’s Edit

An evening of tailored suits, fine watches, rare cigars and sharp grooming - we wouldn't be anywhere else.

March 9, 2016

What’s your idea of the perfect evening? Ours is heading to a snazzy restaurant to shoot the breeze with some likeminded individuals over a few manly cocktails and canapés.

Maybe while we’re there we’d try on some of the finest watches known to man, while simultaneously being measured for our next bespoke suit.

If a hipster barber is there to advise us on our next cut, we’re all for it. And if we have a chance of driving away with a new sportscar… hang on, this now sounds a little farfetched, doesn’t it?

But it’s not, not tonight anyway as Catch Creatives: The Gentleman’s Edit welcomes Dubai’s trendiest men for the ultimate cavalier evening.

In partnership with Catch restaurant at Fairmont Dubai, EDGAR is proud to host an enviable night alongside its partners, who will be offering hands-on experiences, live demos and exhibitions.

After you’ve handed in your business card to be in with a chance of driving away with a Jaguar XF S (although only for the weekend), head over to one of Dubai’s leading tailors, Ascots & Chapels, to get measured up for your next three-piece suit.

Later, enjoy a rare cigar and some fine Scotch from the Private Gentleman’s room, and observe a live watch-making station by IWC, while nearby Montegrappa showcases its all-new Revolver Titanium Pen.

If the weather has ruined your barnet for the evening, sit down with the chaps from Chaps & Co for a quick grooming re-vamp. We know what you’re thinking: normally after a night on the whiskey you leave the bar looking slightly disheveled. Tonight is the exception.

All the while, live entertainment and music comes from the extremely likeable London lads, The Diamond Boys, while time stands still in Catch’s urban setting. The classic New York-style lounge is the perfect environment for such an evening of fine tastes.

We can hear you from here: is it invite only? Well yes, and no. Dubai’s VIPs and style influencers have had their RSVPs in advance. But the restaurant will be open for business as normal. So if you really want to be there – whisper it quietly – you could probably crash it. But only if you know how.

Fairmont Dubai, 9th March, from 8.30pm.
