It’s often said that you are judged by the company you keep, which if true, has us at EDGAR feeling pretty comfortable right now.

That’s because our company this month includes the finest luxury names from the region at the tenth Luxury Lifestyle Awards, held at the Conrad Dubai on May 26.

EDGAR has a seat on the judging panel that has carefully selected brands and companies from 16 countries across the Middle East and Africa, each of them duking it out for a prestigious 24 carat Golden Crown, handcrafted by the Italian fine jewellery company Faraone Mennella.

Nominees have been chosen for both their initiatives and outstanding achievements in the luxury sector.

As well as local judges, the awards are decided by a group of Honorary Judges, including members of the royal families of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as experts from companies such as Audi, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Etihad Airways, Jumeirah Group and LVMH.

As a region MENA is enjoying a golden era of luxury and success, that’s according to the CEO and Founder of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, Alexander Chetchikov. “The Middle East and Africa is one of the most prospective markets for the luxury industry,” he says. “It is a great honour to present and promote the best of them.”

Categories include real estate, restaurants, hotels, spas, fashion, design and travel. Some of last year’s winners in the MENA region included Waldorf Astoria Jeddah, Nozomi restaurant in Saudi Arabia, Sia Moore Architecture Interior Design from Istanbul, Celebrity Spa in Kazakhstan, Lebanese fashion designer Zeina Slaiby and Dubai’s Zuma restaurant. Good luck to the nominees this month and may the best brand win.
