The ultimate aviation watch
October 26, 2014
Pretty isn’t she? By 'she' we're referring to the understated and elegant new Limited Edition timepiece from Bremont. But, as is the case with most beautiful and mysterious objects, the Wright Flyer has an even more intriguing story behind her.
Specialising in creating pilot’s watches, the British brand dug through the annuals of aviation history right to its very inception – December 17, 1903, when Orville and Wilbur Wright manned the first successful experience of human flight. It was an event that is very hard to overstate the importance of, as their actions that day would go on to alter the course of history and shape the jet-setting globalised world we know today.

Taking inspiration from that moment of history, Bremont teamed up with The Wright Family Foundation to create the Wright Flyer, a limited-edition timepiece, with each one incorporating pieces of original material from the 1903 aircraft, the wright flyer.
Not only that, the watch also includes the watchmaker’s first-ever unique movement, the BWC/01 – made with 25 jewels and a more than a 50 hour power reserve. Turns out she’s not just a pretty face, after all.
