Forbes has named Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as one of the most powerful people in the world. The president of the UAE is the second most powerful Arab on the list after Saudi Arabia's King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
Sheikh Khalifa ranked 39 and King Salman ranked 16 in the list of 74, which was topped by Russian president Vladimir Putin for the fourth consecutive year.
To compile the list the magazine identified used four measurements: whether the candidates have power over lots of people, the financial resources they control, the extent of their influence across multiple spheres, and whether they actively used their power.
The biggest change on the list this year was US president Barack Obama dropping to 48 from third. Of course, much of that has to do with Donald Trump – a man once ranked the sixth most dangerous risk facing the world – winning the presidential race and becoming the second most powerful man in the world, according to Forbes.
