Prada is now on Mr Porter

Breaking away from tradition, Prada is now making its collections available through online purchase.

2016 has fast become the year of the Net-A-Porter group. It started when they made select Tiffany and Co designs available for purchase on 

Then came Ermenegildo Zegna, the Italian fashion brand who relied solely on its stores and website for sales before launching ready-to-wear pieces on Mr Porter. And now it’s Prada that will be teaming up with the most dominant high-end fashion site for men.

The deal with the Net-A-Porter group marks the first time the label’s read-to-wear collection will be available to buy online. Prada resisted the temptation of selling online for a very long time but turns out even if you’re the official supplier to the Italian royal household, you can’t escape the clutches of digital technology.

Starting today 74 pieces will be available on-site with over 150 more to come throughout the season. Mr Porter will be launching pieces ranging from tailoring to sportswear, footwear, and accessories.
