Everyone loves holidays. Whether you’re planning on getting hitched in the 115-island country where Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot or taking a dip with crocodiles, you know for a fact that your holiday is going to be great.

You know what’s not so great about holidays though? The airport phase. Even Rafa Cabrera-Bello can’t stand the airport purgatory. To add to that agony, you have what feels like a million things to carry and take care of.

There’s the inevitable neck pillow and eye mask to help you snooze, your passport, a pen to fill in immigration forms, your smartphone and headphones and of course your battery pack. All this apart from the hand baggage you’re lugging around.

At times like this, you may give into temptation and commit style sins. Like reaching out for a fanny pack because it’s “convenient” or “practical”. It isn’t. But finally, it looks like there's something you could use instead of that abominable creation.

BauBax – a clothing brand founded by husband-and-wife team Yoganshi and Hiral Sanghavi – is calling its multipurpose jacket the best travel jacket ever made. Three weeks after it showed up on Kickstarter, the jacket raised $2.8 million. The project now has more than $9 million in funding and has become the most funded clothing project in the history of crowdfunding.

The BauBax jacket’s many features include:

  • An inflatable neck pillow
  • Built-in eye mask
  • A pocket for your drink
  • A pocket for your sunglasses
  • A pocket for your iPad
  • A earphones storage compartment
  • A pocket for your phone
  • A zipper that moonlights as a pen
  • A pocket for your passport
  • Built-in gloves
  • A pocket for your portable charger

You may have noticed that the BauBax jacket isn’t much of a looker. Although it’s packed with features, it doesn’t hold a candle to cooler jackets like the ones Dsquared created for the Manchester City squad.

That’s no reason to fret though, it’s still much better than resorting to a fanny pack or bulging trouser pockets. If the jumper is too hideous for you to throw on, BauBax also has an alternative blazer style that comes with a detachable hoodie.

Travelling is tricky. It’s hard to look like a million bucks when you’re stressing about everything being in order. With a jacket like this, you still may not look great but at least you’ll have everything you need in one place. That peace of mind is priceless.
