EDGAR staff January 15, 2015

This time of the year is perfect skiing season at some of the world's top locations, so what are you waiting for? Pack your stuff and head off to one of these exclusive resorts. Just make sure you get your skiing etiquette right before you go...

Chalet N, Oberlech, Austria From a personal chef and personal butler to make sure you're always well looked after, to a private chauffeur service and heated in-house ski depot to take care of your equipment, every little detail is taken care of if you stay at the Chalet N.

Set in a beautiful corner of the Alps with guaranteed snow and a wealth of challenging ski runs, the location is almost as good as the flawless service. Details: visit

The Chedi, Andermatt, Switzerland

The only property to be located in Andermatt's old town, The Chedi oozes luxury, style and opulence from every inch of petrified wood, Belgian slate, smooth leather, silk and fur that make up its immaculate and tasteful interiors.

The area is a real haven for winter sports fans, with skiing, cross-country skiing, curling and ice-skating all available nearby. If you're a serious skiing enthusiast, the new cable car system offers easy access to the 3,000-metre Gemsstock Mountain slope. Details: visit

Carlton Hotel, St. Moritz, Switzerland

The Carlton Hotel is all about class and elegance, as each of the 60 spacious suites and junior suites bears the light and airy feel that interior designer Carlo Rampazzi is famous for.

Chalet Brickell, Megeve, France

It sounds ridiculous, but the thing that initially caught our eye about Chalet Bricknel (main image), was the underground car park. It’s not because we’re easily pleased either, just look at it! It looks more like a contemporary art space than somewhere to park your SUV.

A pop art version of Steve McQueen presides over space for jeeps, limos or even a number of hummers (hummi?). Found in the Rhones-Alpes region of southeastern France, the commune of Megeve is utterly stunning, and the chalet (as you would imagine, you’ve seen the car park right?) is catered to your every need.

Designed by at team of Italian artisans, the oak floors add real elegance when combined with the modern, often custom-made, furniture. When it comes to entertainment off the slopes, you’re spoiled for choice, with a cinema, gym, wine cellar, and nightclub. You would hope it’s one that you’re guaranteed to get lucky in. Your house, your rules, can’t argue with that.

Finally, if you’re still struggling, just have a quiet word with one of you members of staff. A driver, fitness instructor, chef, and concierge are on hand as and when you need them. Details: visit
