If you’re looking to getaway from home and throw a destination wedding, here are your best options. All within a six-hour flight radius.
Best time to tie the knot: October to March
Not a lot of people knew about the 115-island country till Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the Republic of Seychelles for their honeymoon. Since then, it’s been a go-to celebrity destination for weddings and honeymoons.
The tropical paradise holds the record for most area under conservation with a majority of the islands in the archipelago being uninhabited or designated nature reserves.
There are white powder beaches, butler-serviced villas with gazebos and plunge pools and privacy that lets you lounge in the nude without being disturbed – unless you’re William and Kate.

Just like Seychelles, Maldives comes with the turquoise water, white sands and luxury resorts. Locals believe the island is the site of the lost city of Atlantis and, whether that is true or not, it is certainly near to paradise where whitewashed villages cling to black-lava cliffs.

If you are going to celebrate love, what better place than the birthplace of the goddess of love? Cyprus is also a perfect option for those of you who prefer a more Mediterranean feel to your wedding. The beautiful Akamas Peninsula has a tiny, whitewashed church on a cobbled square within its peaceful enclave that makes it the perfect getaway wedding spot.

Turkey’s cosmopolitan capital is the cornerstone of two of the world’s largest empires. Aside from heading to the Bosphorus to see where Asia and Europe meet, you could also get married in the historic Sultan Ahmed Mosque, popularly known as the Blue Mosque.
