Woman of the week: Zoe Saldana

As the Gulf builds up to the Middle East release of Guardians of the Galaxy, there’s no more deserving woman for this week’s title than the queen of sci-fi.

This week's winner may well be the geek's choice due to her specialising in science fiction films, and if that is the case then geeks have impeccable judgment, because Zoe Saldana is as stunning as it gets.

The 36-year-old actress has attracted a large fan base due to her history of playing strong female roles in sci-fi classics, such as Uhura in Star Trek and Neytiri in Avatar. And her latest role alongside the likes of Chris Pratt, Josh Brolin and Karen Gillan in Guardians of the Galaxy has confirmed her status as the sexy queen of sci-fi.

After she wowed international audiences with her svelte physique in her role as Gamora, we've been waiting patiently for her to light up Middle East screens when the comic book blockbuster comes to Gulf cinemas on August 14.

Until then, enjoy these snaps of our favourite sci-fi lady. 1 6 2 42-60652481 4 7
