Don't be fooled, this woman would kick your ass

Forget the modelling shots and Hollywood career, Ronda Rousey is probably the most deadly woman in the world.

March 2, 2015

Ronda Rousey is not like the other women to have featured on EDGARdaily. Sure she's attractive, well-respected and has achieved a great deal in her career - the three ticks required for the Woman of the Week slot. But she's also a mixed martial arts Bantamweight Champion, and would kick your ass in seconds.

Last Saturday she affirmed her position as probably the hardest woman in the world, winning her UFC championship fight against Cat Zingano in a lightning-quick 14 seconds - the fastest ever win in a UFC title fight.

The win extended Rousey's unbeaten record to 11-0 in mixed martial arts and 5-0 in the UFC. But there is far more to the 28-year old than the blood, sweat and submissions of the octagon.

Six years prior to Saturday's fight, Rousey won the bronze medal in Judo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, becoming the first American woman to win a medal in the event.

As seems to be tradition for USA athletes, she consequently had the Olympic rings tattooed on her hip. She has also dabbled in Hollywood, playing the part of Luna in 2014's The Expendables 3, and has upcoming roles in Furious 7 and Entourage, both out later this year.

Here at EDGAR, we've advised you before not to get on the wrong side of a woman, for any reason. If you ever find yourself in the same room as Rousey, we would advise you to heed that warning.
